Job Description:
We
are seeking an experienced NetSuite Technical Consultant with hands-on
experience in technical aspects of implementing and optimizing NetSuite ERP
systems for our clients. This role involves configuring, customizing, and extending
NetSuite functionality through technical solutions such as Suite Script, Suite Flow,
and Suite Talk. The ideal candidate should be hands-on and have a strong
technical background, experience with NetSuite platform customizations, and the
ability to work with both functional consultants and business stakeholders to
deliver tailored solutions.
Should
have led or actively contributed to at least 2 NetSuite implementation
projects, covering feature enablement, custom script development, and systems
integration.
As
a NetSuite Technical Consultant, you will work closely with business and
functional teams to gather requirements, design custom solutions, implement
integrations, and provide ongoing technical support to ensure that the system
operates efficiently.
Technical Expertise
Must
Have Skills: NetSuite Customization and Configuration: Design, develop, and
deploy custom solutions using NetSuite’s Suite Script (1.0/2.0), Suite Flow,
and Suite Talk, based on business requirements. Customize workflows, user
interfaces, record types, and forms to meet specific client needs.
Suite
Script Development: Write and deploy Suite Script to automate processes,
enhance user experiences, and integrate NetSuite with other systems. Provide
expertise on Suite Script 1.0 and Suite Script 2.0 scripting, including both
client-side and server-side scripts.
Suite
Flow Development: Proficient in creating and managing workflows for automating
business processes. Core NetSuite Skills · Suite Script 1.0 & 2.0 –
Advanced scripting skills to customize and automate processes within NetSuite.
Suite
Flow – Proficient in creating and managing workflows for automating business
processes.
Suite
Talk (SOAP) – Expertise in using Suite Talk SOAP API for integrations with
external systems
RESTlets
– Strong understanding of RESTlets for building custom APIs and handling
RESTful integrations.
Integration
Proficiency
Experience
with point-to-point and middleware-based integrations, including REST APIs,
Suite Talk Web Services, Restlet, and other 3rd Party APIs.
REST
and SOAP Web Services: Understanding of REST and SOAP protocols for integrating
NetSuite with third-party applications.
OAuth
and Token-Based Authentication - Knowledge of secure authentication methods to
manage data access.
Programming
and Scripting Languages: JavaScript, SQL, XML, JSON Advanced Customizations
Capability
to implement custom records, fields, workflows, forms, saved searches, and
dashboards in NetSuite. Reporting & Analytics
Familiarity
with building custom reports, analytics, and dashboards within NetSuite to
support business intelligence needs.
Suite
Script Scripting Knowledge
Proven
experience with Schedule Scripts, User Event Scripts, Client Scripts, and Map/Reduce
Scripts for large data sets.
Customization
and Development Tools:
Suite
Bundler – Proficiency in packaging and deploying customizations using Suite Bundler
Version Control – Experience with Git, Bit bucket, or other version control
systems for managing code.
Data Management
Data
Migration – Experience with data import/export tools, data cleansing and
handling data migration strategies.
Advanced
Saved Searches – Ability to create complex saved searches for reporting and
data analysis. Debugging and Optimization
Script
Debugging – Skills in identifying and resolving issues in Suite Script code ·
Performance Optimization – Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues related
to custom scripts, workflows, and integrations. Knowledge of best practices for
optimizing scripts, workflows, and integrations for stability and speed. ·
Knowledge to implement Error Handling and Logging/monitoring Technical
Documentation: Develop clear technical documentation for customizations,
workflows, integrations. Ensure that end users and internal teams have
comprehensive documentation for system usage and support. Testing &
Debugging: Conduct unit tests and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical
challenges in the NetSuite environment. Support & Maintenance: Provide
ongoing technical support for NetSuite users, including troubleshooting and
resolving system issues. Assist with patching and upgrading custom solutions as
new NetSuite versions are released. · Willingness to work flexible hours to
accommodate overlap with IST/US working hours. · Demonstrates a proactive and
responsive approach to customer needs. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work
closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and clients to ensure
technical solutions align with business requirements. Collaborate with other
technical team members to ensure integration consistency across the system.
Strong business communication and customer management abilities. Client
Training: Provide training and knowledge transfer on technical aspects of
customizations and integrations, enabling clients to maintain and update their
NetSuite environment. Good To Have: ·
Certification in NetSuite skills · Experience and knowledge of Order-to-Cash
(O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes in NetSuite. Knowledge/experience of
Finance, Inventory, Supply chain, Warranty and Repair, CRM (customer and sales
order) modules in NetSuite. · Middleware
Platforms – familiarity with integration platforms
